In late January, Judi Wineland, co-owner of Thomson Safaris, introduced the office to not her first, not her second, but her third pet dachshund.
Nigel, a miniature long-haired dachshund, joined his brothers, Benson (an eight-year-old miniature smooth-haired dachshund), and Conrad (a two-year-old long-haired dachshund).
Conrad and Nigel actually come from the same breeders and have the same parents. Conrad came from an earlier C-liter, and Nigel from the more recent N-liter. The breeders, based in Pennsylvania, breed according to guidelines of the Deutsche Teckel Klub which "promotes and supports breeding of dachshunds with sound bodies and stable temperaments."
The three dogs visit the office frequently, trotting around and creating a healthy distraction from the workday.
Now 14-weeks old, Nigel fits right in with the office and his new family!
