A former Army Officer and helicopter pilot with a keen sense of
everything around him, Randy has long felt the call of photography
to document his travels and share his experiences. While the Pacific
Northwest is his home, he is truly “at home” wherever
his photography takes him. An award winning and published photographer,
Randy has been leading photo safaris for more than 20 years. From
Indonesia and the South Pacific to Saba in the Caribbean, Randy
has led numerous underwater photo safaris to capture life in our
oceans. Upon returning from Iraq in 2005, where he captured images
of the famous walls of Petra and life in the Middle East, Randy
shifted his focus from “sea life” to “land life,”
specifically focusing on the magnificent animals, birds and people
of Africa. Since then, he has not looked back. As he often says,
“a visit to African stirs the soul and warms the heart. It
will change you forever.”
Randy has been leading
his own very successful safaris with Thomson for several years.
Frequently he is accompanied by his wife, Kathy, who is also shares
a passion for photography, Africa, and teaching. Randy is pleased
and honored to join the Andy’s team of photography professionals
who are committed to bringing you the experience of a lifetime.
