Thomson's Ultimate Safari
We debated this trip for over 5 years. We were just so lucky to have picked Thomson, to have lucked into a week when we were all by ourselves and the subject of the staff’s undivided attention, and a time when it seemed that every creature on the plains was busy birthing babies.
We were also happy that, at the last minute, we decided to take the longer trip which included the two nights at Gibb’s Farm. Frankly, I thought that would be like a Midwestern farm with pigs and cows but was I ever wrong. We both absolutely loved every minute of our stay there, we were pampered by the courteous staff, really enjoyed our “little house” and truly hated to leave. This place is a wonderland. Outside shower, fireplace, gardens, friendly staff. I’d like to live here if I could afford it!
We were so close to a group of lions taking down their prey that the Cape Buffalo actually hit the back of our Land Rover as it was trying to escape. Freddy said he’d never seen a take down from such close range.
It just seemed that everything fell together for us to have the absolute best safari anyone could have dreamed of. You and your fellow Thomson employees all made that happen for us and we will be forever grateful. I would recommend no other travel company to anyone who is even remotely thinking of an African safari. The safari was amazing.
