We love the places we visit. That’s why we tread lightly on Tanzanian soil. That’s why we protect and support wildlife conservation, and stay in eco-friendly camps on all treks and safaris. We made a promise to give back, and we’ve kept that promise for 33 years.

We love the people who make our trips possible. We hire locally and provide excellent benefits, job security, and training.

We nurture our relationships with Tanzanian communities. We set up sustainable businesses, support local schools and women’s empowerment initiatives, and promote responsible tourism. Our efforts include supporting a 12,000-acre conservation project in the eastern Serengeti ecosystem, solar powered camps and offices, and a partnership with African Wildlife Foundation.  A country that has given us so much over the years deserves some giving from us.  

As a Leave No Trace partner we are dedicated to keeping Kilimanjaro clean. Our mountain staff collects trash left by other companies and carries it down for proper disposal... Last season we removed over 400lbs of debris!
