Depart North America / Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania
After your flight, Thomson staff will escort you to a quiet lodge in Arusha. Rest up—your adventure begins in the morning.

Days 3-6
Serengeti National Park
Start your day with a plane ride over the bush, taking in sweeping views of Tanzania from above. Your destination: Serengeti National Park. Spend four days traversing nearly 6,000 square miles of plains, riverine forests, and acacia woodlands. With the help of your expert guide, you may spot lions, baboons, giraffe, elephants, zebra, and more. Evenings are spent under the stars in comfortable nyumba camps, which rotate seasonally to enhance wildlife viewing.
Join an optional hot air balloon ride to take in sweeping views of the Serengeti from above. (Advanced reservations and additional fees apply).

Days 7-9
Ngorongoro Highlands to Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara
Today, we drive eastward to Gibb’s Farm. Nestled in the Ngorongoro Highlands, this historic coffee estate is your retreat for the next three days. Spend evenings sipping tea on the veranda after exciting days in Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater—a volcanic caldera with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the world.

Days 10-12
Ruaha National Park
Now that you’ve embraced the spirit of the north, head south for the last leg of your voyage. Fly to Ruaha to explore the largest and most remote national park in Africa. Accompanied by local guides, you’ll discover this uncharted territory with inside knowledge and secrets to spotting wildlife. These guides know the sweeping forests and plains of the south better than anyone, and with their leadership, you’ll discover the beauty of a region few people get to explore. Your eco-friendly tented camp adds plenty of comfort to this authentic experience in the bush.

Days 13-14
Ruaha National Park to Dar es Salaam / Return to North America
The next morning, you’ll take a short flight to Dar es Salaam, the commercial capital of Tanzania. Enjoy some shopping, and relax in a day room before your evening flight home.
