"Thanks again for providing my family with the most memorable trip of our lives... and since I'm a diplomat's daughter who's traveled most of the world, that is a great compliment!" - Beverly Halliwell-Ross, Littleton, CO |

Days 1-2 Depart U.S. / Arrive Arusha
|
|
|
| |
 |
|
It feels a
little like Indiana Jones as you climb into the sturdy Land
Rover, that quintessential safari vehicle. Your expert guide
is as ready for adventure as you are. But first thing's first:
settle in to the quiet comfort of your lodge and enjoy a good
night's rest. The adventure really begins in the morning!
Overnight: Moivaro Lodge

|
Days 3-4 Tarangire National Park
|
| |
After a breakfast
safari briefing, you're off to Tarangire National Park. The
landscapes here are as diverse as the wildlife, so there is
always something new around every corner. Your permanent tented
lodge has the most central location in the whole park, and
it's not uncommon to spot wildlife right on the grounds. In
fact, the pool has often attracted elephants looking for a
quick, cool drink!

live and work. At Gibbs Farm the kids will be able to explore
the working organic farm and meet their pen-pals at a nearby
school. This is a day in which everyone will enjoy not only
the verdant scenery, but also the genuine interactions with
the Tanzanian people.

Days 6-7 Ngorongoro Crater
|
|

The drive to Ngorongoro Crater is fairly short, but the change in scenery is astounding. Lion, hippo, rhino, buffalo, zebra - they're all here in great numbers waiting for your curious eyes to discover them.
Your private Nyumba is perched high on the crater rim. You'll
hear the distant jangling of Masaai cow bells and savor the
sweetly-scented breezes that flow through the peaceful surroundings.
There's a nearby Masaai boma that you may have time to visit
as a special treat. Your guide will, as always, have Frisbees
and soccer balls on hand, just in case anyone has the energy
for a quick game before dinner.

Days 8-11 Serengeti National Park
|
|
|
| |

|
|
Journey into the Serengeti, searching out its vast herds of wildebeest and zebra, great prides of lion, families of giraffe and much, much more.
When you're not on game drives, the kids will have opportunities to explore on foot with the guide or work on a variety of games, puzzles and projects that can be geared to any age. They may wish to try their hands at beading, identifying animal tracks or searching for unusual insects. They can always play a lively game of soccer since your crew and guides would never turn down a chance to kick the ball around!
Adults will enjoy these four nights at the Nyumba to relax
and soak in the beauty of the surroundings while we take care
of your family's every need.
