We journey across the Maasai Steppe to Tarangire, where we encounter huge herds of elephants feeding under the dramatic limbs of ancient baobabs.
Nine distinct vegetation zones and the only permanent water source in the area attract an incredible diversity of wildlife, including lion, leopard, eland, kudu, buffalo, klipspringer and many more.
From the comfort of our luxury safari camp, we’ll enjoy bush walks, sundowner cocktails or traditional "boma" style dinners by a roaring fire, under the stars. If you prefer, enjoy the solitude and the beautiful views from your own private veranda. Marvel at the brilliant African night sky.

We reach the rim of the world's largest unbroken caldera, and peer into the crater floor, teeming with wildlife - herds of wildebeest and buffalo, graceful gazelle, black rhino, hyena and impressive prides of lion.
A diverse eco-system awaits your discovery, verdant swamps with wallowing hippos, soda lakes flamingo pink, forests and grasslands.
We'll enjoy this incredible view as we have
a sumptuous lunch at our lodge high on the crater rim.

This afternoon, and all day tomorrow, we will explore the crater floor, often referred to as Africa's "Garden of Eden."
Each evening, we return to our luxurious lodge where you may unwind with a cold drink in front of your private fireplace, or soak in a hot bubble bath in your artistically appointed en suite bathroom. Dine on gourmet fare and marvel at the expanse of the African night.

Days 8-11 Olduvai Gorge & Serengeti National Park

Leaving the highlands, we descend into the high plateau of the Serengeti plains.
Our first stop is Olduvai Gorge, where the Leakey family discovered important ancient pieces to the puzzle of human evolution.
We spend the first two nights in the central region, whose woodlands and plains support an enormous concentration of wildlife, including the migrating herds of wildebeest, large prides of lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, giraffe, warthog, zebra, gazelle and many species of antelope to name a few.
On day 10 we drive into the remote western corridor to continue our exploration. Our small, secluded tented camp is one of the most luxurious in Africa. We'll visit hippo pools in the Grumeti River and see some of the largest crocs in East Africa. This is a diverse and in-depth experience.
