Day 1-2
Depart U.S. / Arrive Arusha |
Connect in Amsterdam with your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport,
arriving late evening. You will be met by Thomson Safaris
staff and transferred to your lodge.

Day 3
Arusha National Park |
Depart after breakfast for Arusha National Park, a small but
incredibly diverse park with forest, lakes, savannah, several
craters and an extinct volcano over 15,000 feet tall: Mount
Meru.
- Explore Arusha National Park by vehicle and by foot
- Opt for optional hike to waterfall
- Picnic lunch in the park

Day 4
Arusha National Park / Ngorongoro Crater |
Cross the Great Rift Valley, which is home to many Maasai,
on your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Take in the spectacular
views as you climb the escarpment wall and make your first
glimpse into the scenic crater.

Ngorongoro Crater |
Take advantage of your optimally located Nyumba and spend
another day on the crater floor, searching out lion, hippo,

Oduvai Gorge / Serengeti National Park |
After breakfast, continue your journey into the heart of Tanzania
by heading west, toward the Serengeti Plains.

Ruaha National Park |
On your first game drive in Ruaha you will drive along the
Mwagusi Sand River and the Great Ruaha River. During your
drive, you will be struck by the beauty and the vast expanse
of unpopulated wilderness stretching out towards the distant
blue hills of the Southern Highlands.

Depart Ruaha late this morning and spend the rest of the day
