Day 1-2
Depart North America /Arrive Arusha |
Connect in Amsterdam with your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport,
arriving late evening. You will be met by Thomson Safaris
staff and transferred to your lodge. We

Day 3
Tarangire National Park |
Make your way to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's fourth
largest. Enjoy the dramatic landscape dotted by baobab trees
as well as some of Tanzania’s largest populations of
elephant.

Day 4
Tarangire National Park |
Make your way to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania's fourth
largest. Enjoy the dramatic landscape dotted by baobab trees
as well as some of Tanzania’s largest populations of
elephant. The kids will enjoy activities such as swimming
in a pool at lunchtime and traditional Tanzanian games in
the evening at the Nyumba.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater |
After months of anticipation, you will meet your pen pals
today. Kids can learn from each other's cultures and interact
in activities, from soccer to traditional arts and crafts.
After lunch, immerse yourself in the semi-nomadic culture
of the Maasai by visiting a boma, which is a settlement of
circular homes.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater |
Take advantage of your optimally located Nyumba and descend
into the crater today searching out lion, hippo, the rare
black rhino, hyena, wildebeest, zebra, African buffalo and
much more. The Ngorongoro Crater is a geological marvel boasting
several vegetation zones from lakes to forest to savannah.
It is also home to about 30,000 animals, despite its tiny
size of only 10 miles across.

Day 7
Oduvai Gorge / Serengeti National Park |
After breakfast, continue your journey into the heart of Tanzania
by heading west, toward the Serengeti Plains. The Serengeti
covers 6,000 square miles of pristine land and offers not
only expansive vistas but the largest migration of mammals
on earth, including 1.5 million wildebeests.

Day 8
Serengeti National Park |
The famed Serengeti is home to countless numbers of animals.
Enjoy exploring this pristine and unique sanctuary that will
give you a glimpse into “the world as it was in the
beginning.” In the afternoon, take an optional walk
to the village of Robanda, home to the Ikoma people, who are
renowned for their drumming and storytelling.

Serengeti National Park |
Spanning nearly 6,000 square miles, the Serengeti has even

the game viewing promises to be interesting on this last day
of your adventure.

Serengeti / Arusha / Depart |
Depart the Serengeti late this morning and spend the rest
of the day in Arusha, with a farewell lunch, some shopping
and a dayroom to prepare for your flight home this evening.
