Safari and Kilimanjaro Sales Consultant

Our sales team plays a crucial role in growing our clientele and maintaining our stellar reputation. As one of the first touchpoints of a customer’s experience, the sales team must establish themselves as safari and mountain climbing experts who are as knowledgeable as they are approachable and friendly. Our salespeople clearly and effectively communicate our offerings, whether they’re speaking with a seasoned guest or a first-time traveler.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate a consultative rapport with guests to learn about their travel needs and decision process
  • Respond to phone calls and email requests for information within 24 business hours, averaging 30 outbound calls per day
  • Manage a pipeline from initial contact to closure, accurately utilizing and maintaining Salesforce and Filemaker Pro systems
  • Communicate with US and Tanzanian teams to manage reservations
  • Proactively identify opportunities for product development and  innovation
  • Meet and exceed individual and team goals for company growth and product and system knowledge
 
Core Attributes:                                                                                                               
  • A positive attitude and passion for travel
  • 3-4 years of experience in sales and Salesforce
  • Able to be both competitive and collaborative within a fast-paced environment
  • Coachable and resilient, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Personally driven with a strong work ethic and ability to stay self-motivated for long periods of time 
  • Experience in motivating teams to hit key metrics
  • Extremely detail oriented with a penchant for documentation, time management, and follow up
