Full Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Arusha, Tanzania

Arrive into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Your guide meets you at the airport and escorts you to tonight’s lodge in Arusha.

Overnight: Legendary Lodge

Days 2
Lake Manyara National Park

Start your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a destination famously held dear to Hemingway. Upon taking in the scenery of the groundwater forest, you quickly realize why he named it his favorite park in all of Africa. Expert guides give you the chance to see elusive tree-climbing lions resting after a successful hunt, hippos cooling off in the water, and flamingoes flocking together in their natural habitat.

After a day of exploration, you retire to your lodge, which offers the epitome of safari elegance. Relax by the outdoor swimming pool with a sundowner in hand or head to bed to rest up for tomorrow’s adventures.

Overnights: Chem Chem Lodge

Days 3-4
The Great Rift Valley

Continue your journey to Tarangire National Park, a less-visited destination known for its dense, unique wildlife population. You’re bound to see herds of elephants and diverse birdlife as you make your way through the baobab tree-scattered plains. During one afternoon, take an exclusive walking tour from your lodge to the edge of Lake Manyara, where you observe wildlife congregating by a watering hole.

Return to your lodge for a night of authentic safari luxury in the heart of the African wilderness. Enjoy a holistic spa service as you look out at the awe-inspiring views of Lake Manyara.

Overnights: Chem Chem Lodge

Days 5-6
Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Head to the Ngorongoro Crater floor, the world’s premier wildlife destination. Explore the area on a private, expert-led drive that gives you the best chance to spot the Big Five. Venture through the crater with the stunning volcanic backdrop in the distance and see bull elephants, African buffalos, lions, critically endangered black rhinos, and other big game.

After spending the day touring the largest intact volcanic caldera, unwind at a sumptuous lodge that’s equally breathtaking and described as Versailles meets Maasai.

Overnights: Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

Days 7-10
Grumeti Reserves

Fly to the great Serengeti’s western plains, where the wildlife is as plentiful as the plains are expansive. Enjoy wildlife viewing drives in a completely customized Land Rover that’s designed for optimal comfort and reliability, and witness the cheetah, bat-eared fox, Maasai giraffe, and elephant that reside in the remote area. Seasonally, the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra creates an impressive spectacle.

Return to the acclaimed Sasakwa Lodge, where you’ll reside for the next four days. Marvel in the old world elegance of your remote cottage and end each day with a leisurely dip in your private infinity pool. With a blend of authentic European style and East African influences, the lodge’s décor perfectly complements the stunning landscapes you spend your days exploring.

Overnights: Singita Sasakwa Lodge

Day 11
Return to North America

Take a scenic bush flight over the stunning Serengeti to begin your journey home, and enjoy one last view of the land. Arrive at Arusha’s Cultural Heritage Center and shop for handcrafted souvenirs or brilliant Tanzanite to serve as a beautiful takeaway from your experience. Refresh at the luxurious Legendary Lodge before being escorted to the airport to return to North America.

Day room: Legendary Lodge
