Carolyn’s first love has always been words. She earned her degree in English Writing & Literature right here in Boston, has published two creative nonfiction pieces, and constantly scribbles notes for future stories and books. Now she uses her love of words to paint a picture of Tanzania to her guests, so they can be as excited and enamored with it as she is. When she’s not talking with guests about safari sunsets, you can probably find her baking, camping, or drinking wine.
John grew up in southeastern Connecticut and studied journalism in the Emerson College Broadcast Journalism program. He caught the travel bug while spelunking in Vietnam and developed a keen interest in active, ethical adventuring. In his free time, John is a drummer in a band and a fervent reader.

Sarah is a Boston native and is thrilled to join the Thomson Safaris Team! A great love of travel has led her to ski the Swiss Alps, snorkel a Volcanic crater in Maui, sail the British Virgin Islands and scuba dive in Aruba. She dreams of adding Africa and Australia to that list. In her spare time she is an actress exploring the Boston theatre community.
Megan’s love of travel has led her to 100 different countries around the globe. Her favorite trip was trekking through the expansive, stunning Maasailand of Tanzania on a walking safari. With twin boys at home now, travel is not quite as frequent, although she thoroughly enjoys listening to the tales our guests bring back from the bush and is always striving to improve guest experiences.

The love of travel and adventure must run in Samantha’s blood! The daughter of a travel agent, she grew up traveling and so far has been to Canada, Bermuda, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland, and of course, Tanzania. Weekend rambles in the woods developed a love of the outdoors, which eventually led to leadership training with the Appalachian Mountain Club and a job leading group recreation trips in Yellowstone National Park. Kristina’s heart lies in Florence, Italy where she lived for 6 months. She has traveled Italy extensively, and if she could teleport herself to anywhere in the world, she would be eating pesto on the water in Cinque Terre. When she’s not planning her own trips, and trips for our Tanzania guests, you can find her whipping up new recipes, seeing a live show, playing soccer, crossfitting, hiking, skiing, or snowboarding. Born and raised in the Boston suburbs, Nicole’s passion for travel has taken her from Mt. Fuji in Japan to Mt. Vesuvius in Italy. After spending years teaching filmmaking, graphic design, and Flash animation to young children, her passion for using technology to facilitate communication in new ways was born. Aside from her career interests in social media and project management, she is also an avid reader, board and video game enthusiast, documentary film lover and creative writer.
Ali has been skydiving in the Swiss Alps, wine tasting in France, snowboarding down a glacier, and ziplining through the rainforest canopies in Central America.
